Healthy Building Network stands with people of color and demands justice and equality. We grieve with you. We share your anger and outrage. We pray with you for the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and the countless others who have been killed or oppressed through racist systems and acts. We send our love to you.

I Can’t Breathe.” We must truly hear George Floyd’s words in the final moments of his life as it was brutally stolen. I. Can’t. Breathe. It represents 400 years of suffocation, injustice and toxic policies meant to privilege some and harm others.

Healthy Building Network’s roots were formed in the environmental and social justice movements, and it has fueled our work for 20 years. We not only hope for a better future, we will continue our mission for environmental and social justice and will take action with you to end racism, police brutality, acts of white supremacy and control, and all forms of violence, including pollution and the systemic toxic chemical exposures that disproportionately burden Black, Brown and Indigenous communities.

We stand in solidarity with you, committed to achieve policies and systems that result in equity and justice so that everyone can breathe.

In peace, health, and justice,
