Collective Impact Director

We are seeking an experienced Collective Impact Director who will have a critical role in developing and driving our growth strategy through leadership and design of our Communities of Practice and other Education initiatives. The Collective Impact Director is a new role and it will report to the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer.

Our mission is to advance human and environmental health by improving chemical hazard transparency and inspiring product innovation. Since 2000, HBN has been the leading national organization to pioneer technology platforms, research, and policies that elevate human health and environmental justice to a top priority in the building industry. To advance our mission we partner with companies like Google, research universities like Harvard, and non-profit environmental and housing sectors. It is an exciting time of growth and diversification and HBN needs a leader who will help us achieve our ambitious goals.

 

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS

 

The Collective Impact Director will oversee HBN’s Education and Communities of Practice. The role will direct and evolve our HomeFree initiative, leading and co-creating healthy building material solutions with the HomeFree national affordable housing cohort. In addition, he/she will be responsible for developing collective impact strategies for other HBN initiatives, including the engagement of academic, manufacturing and building industry professionals engaged the Pharos-Data Commons and Portico. This is an opportunity to cultivate a highly integrated practice that can influence and shape HBN programs, discover emergent needs, and adaptive opportunities in real-time to build sustained capacity for ongoing and evolving knowledge. HBN is eager to use learning and evaluative thinking to adapt and improve our strategies as conditions change so that we are able to improve relevance, drive better planning, and achieve scaled impact.

Executive Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant that will have a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of HBN’s Chief Executive Officer, Founder and Board President, and Leadership Team.

Since 2000, HBN has been the leading national organization to pioneer technology platforms, research, and policies that elevate human health to a top priority. It is an exciting and growing industry and HBN needs a motivated and energetic Executive Assistant who will help us achieve our ambitious goals.

 

Responsibilities:

The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial environment of a geographically distributed organization that is mission-driven, results­ motivated, and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, demonstrated administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
