The Healthy Building Network started out in 2000 as a project of the Institute of Local Self-Reliance, the venerable DC-based non-profit that has been working to enable communities with tools to increase economic effectiveness, reduce wastes, decrease environmental impacts, and provide for local ownership of the infrastructure and resources essential for community well-being. In 2008, HBN stepped out on its own, as an independent 501c3. Every year, we have received an unqualified audit – and financial clean bill-of-health. Below are our audited financial reports and 990s.
